birthday and school!

So i just recently had my birthday. Brian got me an amazing gift of a brand new cell phone and I was super excited. We decided to have a family and friend party on the 9th and hung out at dad's and had a great time. Thanks for everyone that came. Then on my birthday school started so i had to go to class, which wasn't to bad because i only had 1. So then after class brian was still in class till 5 so i ran to Idaho Falls and helped Aunt Paige and Tracy cut some corn off the cob so that it could get frozen and then Aunt Paige gave me one of her amazing watches that she makes so i got to pick that out when i was down there. So then i came back to RExburg because brian was getting out of class. Then we went out to dinner to Applebees with Michelle (kendon her husband was at work). It was amazingly delicious, because that is my favorite resturant. So after dinner it was almost time for Kendon to get home so we waited and then met him at Dairy Queen and had a delicious desert. It was a good night and a good birthday. Brian really tried to make it a good birthday and he really accomplished that. Thanks so much for my family support and also my best friends!!! And of course the most important person of all....My husband!

Its been a year!!!

So i know that i have posted a lot tonight but i gotta get all caught up. So August 2 was me and Brian's 1 year anniversary. I can't believe that its been a year already and i still love being married so much. Brian is the best husband ever and i could not ask for more. So for our actual anniversary we just lounged around, went to church and then went and visited our families. it was a great day even though we didn't do much. Then Brian suprised me with a trip to Yellowstone National Park on Monday. I was so excited because it had been forever since i had been there. Little did i know that Brian had been planning with his dad where the best places to stop were. So we got in the jeep and headed there and it was so much fun. We actually did some hiking, we hiked down to lower falls, which killed me because i am not much of a hiker. But it was fun and it was silly because once we got down to the platform, neither of us could look over because we are both afraid of heights! But it was a good experience to have and i will always remember how i almost died on the way back up! But it was an amazing day spent with my husband and I couldn't have asked for a better anniversary present!
The roses Brian got me for our anniversary

The beginnings of our journey

The first place that we stopped
Us with a pretty geyser behind us!

This is the platform on lower falls...i walked up to the edge without looking over and took a picture! hehe This video is pretty sick...but thats alright!
This Tatanka....for those who haven't seen Dances with Wolves that means buffalo...was right next to the road and there were a bunch of people getting really close to it. i just took the picture as we were driving by. Its funny what some people stop for, like the Bald Eagle and a coyote! We looked at the license plate of the people that were stopped and they were all from back East! hehe It was a wonderful trip and maybe become a tradition for us and our future family!

Martin Reunion

Ok for the Martin reunion we went to Bear Lake with my parents and Bear lake is my all time favorite place, except when its way busy and you practically have to camp on the beach. But it was way fun to see my Aunt Becky's kids. I didn't get any pictures from this reunion...but i got a video of something we found out my eyes do. Its pretty crazy and it was making Brian sick so he had to record it. Let me know what you think!

Butikofer Family campout

Ok so I am going to explain my Butikofer family a little bit before i post pictures for those of you who don't know how crazy they are. Every year we pick a theme and then for one night we dress up and have crazy food and this year it was Classic Disney in Jamaica!! So each of my dad's siblings families were assigned a classic disney movie and we had to act out a scene from it. My family got assigned Robin Hood...the one with the animals and it was so much fun! I love the Butikofer family campouts it is something that i definitely look forward to every year. And Brian is slowly getting used to the craziness!!!

Me and Brian's fishes that we caught the first day camping...i also got fried the first day camping!!

Abby with her favorite uncle Brian...she has two!

This is my second family...my uncle Jeff and Aunt Paige's family...they did Snow white and the 7 dwarves! I thought it was a way fun idea.

Here is my crazy family...yes i know i do look pregnant...but i had to be fat like Little John!

At the end of our weekend with the Butikofer's Brian's sister, Krisiti, and her family were camping just down the road so we went cliff jumping and floating down the Buffalo river with them. It was great to see their family and have fun with them too. Brian jumped off the cliff and i was very proud of him, but very nervous as well. My mother and father in law also came up that day and they jumped off the cliff as well. Everyone went but me because i am a big chicken...but oh well...maybe another time!

some more needed updates....

So a couple more things that have happened kinda recently is Abby, Tyler and Tracy's girl, turned one on May 28th!! It was so fun to celebrate with them. For her actual birthday we went out to Craigos and then the Saturday after we had a big family and friends party. It was lots of fun watching her eat her cake and she wasn't really interested in unwrapping the presents just playing with them!

Here is me and Abby!!
Cousin Garet helping her eat her cake and showing her how to eat it!!

The end result of her and the cake!

The cake before the damage! It was so cute, but Tracy didn't like it!

She was not interested in opening them at all, Tracy would open them then she liked them!

Another update.....

I went to the zoo with Tracy and Abby and it was Abby's first time! It was so much fun to walk around, but again Abby didn't seem all that interested in some of the animals. She liked the monkeys and some of the bigger animals, but it wasn't amazing to her!
Abby and her mamma!

The white monkey here had his butt up against the window and Aunt Becca not thinking about what she was saying said the word butt and pointed at the monkey and Abby started calling the monkey butt!!! it was pretty hilarious. She thought its name was butt!

She really wanted to play with the monkeys!

a late update...and more to come

So Memorial Day weekend we went on our first camping trip as a married couple. We went with some of my family and went fishing the second day that we were there. We went up to Big Elk and it was so much fun.

Here is me brushing my teeth with no make up on!!!

Brian brushing his teeth very well!!! :)

We are preparing to hike down to where we were going to fish.

Brian ended up carrying a lot more...in the middle of the hike he carried some of my mom's and sister's stuff!

Brian and my dad with the fish that Brian caught.

My beautiful fish!! it was one of the biggest.

My nephew Ethan got one of the crap fish that we threw up on the bank and tied a rope on it and he was dragging it on the bank and this is where Brian got him to kiss his fish!! it was disgusting!

Sonny with all the fish that my family had caught...and thats not all of them either!

Ethan's hut for when it started raining!

Bryan and Liz made a little tent, but both of their children were screaming right before this picture because they didn't like the rain.

The little ledge that all of us were fishing on! and this is right when it started raining!

Brian's cover from the rain

My cover actually kept me warm until a little breeze came up

Brian and I getting ready to make the climb back up!
The day was so much fun even though I didn't listen to my husband and put sunscreen on and got fried like I usually do, but it was worth it!! I am so glad that my family invited us and that we had such a great time!
